William Mason Garrett 
William Mason was born on August 18th, 1834.1 William Mason's father was John Mason Garrett and his mother was Sarah Marshall Grumbles. His paternal grandparents were Robert* Jackson, Sr. Garrett and Mary* Ann Clackler; his maternal grandparents were Benjamin Franklin Grumbles and Keziah Pierce. He had a brother and three sisters, named James, Nancy, France Elizabeth and Infant. He was the second youngest of the five children.-
