Jesse, Sr. Garrett 
Jesse, Sr. was born on September 9th, 1766 in Fairfax, Viriginia.1 Jesse, Sr.'s father was Edward II Garrett and his mother was Ann West Ousley. His paternal grandparents were Edward I Garrett and Elizabeth Catlett. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named John, William, Nicholas Ware, James, Stephen, Hosea, Edward III, Elizabeth, Frances Fannie, Rhoda, Dorcus, Mary, Martha and Irene Kiziah. He was the fifth oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 87 on September 29th, 1853 in Laurens County, South Carolina.1 -
