Robert John III was born about 1337 in Dundonald Castle,Irvine,Ayrshire,Scotland.1   Robert John III's father was King Robert II Stewart Of Scotland, Earl Of Atholl and his mother was Elizabeth Mure Of Rowallon.  His paternal grandparents were High Steward Walter Stewart Of Scotland and Princess Marjory De Brus Of Scotland; his maternal grandparents were Sir Adam Mure and Janet Mure. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Alexander, Margaret, Jean (Joan) and Elizabeth.  He was the oldest of the six children. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named David, Isabel, Elizabeth Catherine and Edigia Egidia Jill.  He died on April 4th, 1406 in Rothesay Castle,Isle of Bute,Scotland.2
