James I was born in December 1394 in Dumferline,Fifeshire,Scotland.1   James I's father was King Robert John III Stewart Of Scotland and his mother was Annabella Drummond.  His paternal grandparents were King Robert II Stewart Of Scotland, Earl Of Atholl and Elizabeth Mure Of Rowallon; his maternal grandparents were Sir John Drummond and Mary De Montifex. He had three sisters named Margaret, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-brother named John.  He died in Murdered at Perth,Perthshire,Scotland.  He was buried in 1437 in Charter House,Perth,Perthshire,Scotland.1 


James I's family with Joan (AKA DeBeaufort) De Beaufort

‌James I and AKA DeBeaufort were married in a religious ceremony on May 15th, 1438 in Ayreshire,Scotand.  They had two sons and six daughters, named Alexander, James II, Margaret, Isabelle, Eleanor, Joan, Anabella Jean and Mary.
