James II was born on October 16th, 1430 in Holyrood Palace,Edinburgh,Scotland.1   James II's father was King James I Stewart Of Scotland and his mother was Joan (AKA DeBeaufort) De Beaufort.  His paternal grandparents were King Robert John III Stewart Of Scotland and Annabella Drummond; his maternal grandparents were Marquis John (Fairborn) De Beaufort Of Dorset, Earl Of Somerset and Lady Margaret De Holland. He had a brother and six sisters, named Alexander, Margaret, Isabelle, Eleanor, Joan, Anabella Jean and Mary. He had two half-brothers named John and Hearty.  He died at the age of 29 on August 3rd, 1460 in Killed at Seige of Roxburgh Castle,Roxburghshire,Scotland.1 


James II's family with Marie De Gueldres

‌James II and Marie were married in a religious ceremony on July 3rd, 1449.1   They had a son and a daughter, named James III and Mary.
