Joan was born on September 29th, 1328 in Woodstock Palace,Oxfordshire,England.1   Joan's father was Earl Edmund Plantagenet Of Kent and her mother was Margaret Wake.  Her paternal grandparents were King Edward I (Longshanks) Plantagenet Of England and Princess Marguerite Capet Of France. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 56 on August 8th, 1385 in Wallingford Castle,Berkshire,England.2 


Joan's first family with Earl Thomas II De Holland Of Kent

‌Joan and Thomas II were married in a religious ceremony before 1339.3   They had two sons and two daughters, named John, Thomas III, Jane and Maud.


Joan's second family with Earl William De Montagu Of Salisbury

‌Joan and William were married in a religious ceremony on October 15th, 1348 in dissolved by Pope 17 Nov 1349.


Joan's third family with Prince Edward (The Black Prince) Plantagenet Of Wales, England

‌Joan and The Black Prince were married in a religious ceremony on October 10th, 1361.7   They had two sons named Edward and Richard II.
