Joanna was born in of London, Middlesex, England.1   Joanna's father was John Lackland Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Agatha de Ferrers.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry II Curtmantle King of England and Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss of Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were William de Ferrers Earl of Derby and Sibyl de Braose. She had three half-brothers named Henry III, Richard of Cornwall and Richard FitzJohn of Dover.  She died in Aberconwy, Arllechwedd Uchaf, Caernarvonshire, Wales.1
