Agnes was born in 1054 in of Mortagne, S-Mnch, France.1 Agnes' father was Robert de Burgo de Mortain Earl of Cornwall and her mother was Matilda de Montgomerie. Her paternal grandparents were Herluin de Burgo and Herleva de Falaise; her maternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery II Earl of Arundel and Mabel Talvas. She had a brother and a sister, named William de Burgo de Mortain and Emma. She was the oldest of the three children.-
