Mabel was born in Alençon, Eure, France.1   Mabel's father was Guillaume II Talvas Ct of Alençon-Bellême and her mother was Hildeburg (de Alençon).  Her paternal grandparents were Guillaume I Talvas Ct of Alençon and Mathilde de Ganelon; her maternal grandfather was Arnoul (de Alençon).  She was an only child.  She died about December 1082 in Chateau de Bures-sur-Dives, France.1
