Eleanor was born in 1103 in Chatellerault, Vienne, France or Aquitaine, France.1 Eleanor's father was Aimery I de Rochefoucauld and her mother was Dangerose de l' Isle Bouchard. Her paternal grandparents were Boso II Vct of Châstellerault and Eleanor de Thouars; her maternal grandparents were Barthelemy de l' Isle Bouchard and Gerberge (de l' Isle Bouchard).
