Walter was born in 1065 in of Gloucestershire, England.1   Walter's father was Roger Pitres and his mother was Eunice de Baalun.  His maternal grandfather was Drue Lord Balidoon.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 62 in 1127 in Llanthony Abbey, Gloucester.1
