Zerriah Smith Toler 
Zerriah Smith was born on July 25th, 1848 in Henderson Co., Illinois. Zerriah Smith's father was William Payne Toler and his mother was Mariah Anderson Taliaferro. His paternal grandparents were Anderson Toler and Lucy Smith; his maternal grandparents were Robert Brooke Taliaferro and Cecelia A. Ellett. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Robert Anderson, William Brooke, Thaddeus Coleman, Benjamin Alpheus, Edwin Philetus, Milner M., Lucy Ann, Bertha Payne, Mildred Ora and Ida Ellen. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 69 on October 8th, 1917 in Illinois.-
