Bertha Payne Toler 
Bertha Payne was born on March 21st, 1850. Bertha Payne's father was William Payne Toler and her mother was Mariah Anderson Taliaferro. Her paternal grandparents were Anderson Toler and Lucy Smith; her maternal grandparents were Robert Brooke Taliaferro and Cecelia A. Ellett. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Robert Anderson, William Brooke, Thaddeus Coleman, Zerriah Smith, Benjamin Alpheus, Edwin Philetus, Milner M., Lucy Ann, Mildred Ora and Ida Ellen. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 22 on September 19th, 1872.-
