William Beverley 
William was born on October 27th, 1763 in "Blandfield", Essex Co., VA. William's father was Robert Beverley and his mother was Maria Byrd Carter. His paternal grandparents were William Beverley and Elizabeth Bland; his maternal grandparents were Landon Carter and Maria Byrd. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named Robert, Robert, Burton, Carter, Byrd, James Mills, Munford, Peter Randolph, McKenzie, Maria, Lucy, Anna Munford, Evelyn, Jane Bradshaw and Harriet. He was the oldest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 59 in September 1823 in Paris, France.-
