Landon Carter 
Landon was born on June 7th, 1710 in "Corotoman", Lancaster Co., VA. Landon's father was Robert Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Landon. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Landon and Mary de Laval. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Charles, Ludlow, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty, Mary and Lucy. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Judith, Sarah and Judith. He died at the age of 68 on December 22nd, 1778 in "Sabine Hall", Richmond Co., VA. He was buried in old churchyard, Warsaw, VA.-
