Charles Carter 
Charles was born in 1707 in "Corotoman", Lancaster Co., VA. Charles' father was Robert Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Landon. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Landon and Mary de Laval. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Ludlow, Landon, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty, Mary and Lucy. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Judith, Sarah and Judith. He died at the age of 57 in 1764.-
