Lucy Carter 
Lucy was born in 1715 in "Corotoman", Lancaster Co., VA. Lucy's father was Robert Carter and her mother was Elizabeth Landon. Her paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Landon and Mary de Laval. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Charles, Ludlow, Landon, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty and Mary. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Judith, Sarah and Judith. She died at the age of 48 in 1763.-
