Robert Carter 
Robert was born in 1705 in "Corotoman", Lancaster Co., VA. Robert's father was Robert Carter and his mother was Elizabeth Landon. His paternal grandparents were John Carter and Sarah Ludlow; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Landon and Mary de Laval. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Ludlow, Landon, George, Anne, Sarah, Betty, Mary and Lucy. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named John, Elizabeth, Judith, Sarah and Judith. He died at the age of 27 on May 12th, 1732 in "Nomini", Westmoreland Co., VA.-
