Robert Beverley 
Robert was born on March 12th, 1769 in "Blandfield", Essex Co., VA. Robert's father was Robert Beverley and his mother was Maria Byrd Carter. His paternal grandparents were William Beverley and Elizabeth Bland; his maternal grandparents were Landon Carter and Maria Byrd. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named William, Robert, Burton, Carter, Byrd, James Mills, Munford, Peter Randolph, McKenzie, Maria, Lucy, Anna Munford, Evelyn, Jane Bradshaw and Harriet. He was the fourth oldest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 74 in May 1843.-
