McKenzie Beverley 
McKenzie was born on June 3rd, 1783 in "Blandfield", Essex Co., VA. McKenzie's father was Robert Beverley and his mother was Maria Byrd Carter. His paternal grandparents were William Beverley and Elizabeth Bland; his maternal grandparents were Landon Carter and Maria Byrd. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named William, Robert, Robert, Burton, Carter, Byrd, James Mills, Munford, Peter Randolph, Maria, Lucy, Anna Munford, Evelyn, Jane Bradshaw and Harriet. He was the third youngest of the sixteen children.-
