John Byrum Riddle 
John Byrum was born in 1850 in Cheroke Co.,TX. John Byrum's father was Benjamin Preston Riddle and his mother was Mary Ann Bass. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Riddle and Mary Bynum; his maternal grandparents were Willis Jordan Bass and Elizabeth Lillian (Betsy) Hardin. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Alexander Willis, Nicholas Buchanan, Benjamin T., William H., Jordon G., Robert E. Lee, Charles H., Mary Emma, Mattie and Effie. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 71 on October 25th, 1921.-
