His paternal grandparents were Alexander Riddle and Mary Bynum; his maternal grandparents were Willis Jordan Bass and Elizabeth Lillian (Betsy) Hardin. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John Byrum, Alexander Willis, Benjamin T., William H., Jordon G., Robert E. Lee, Charles H., Mary Emma, Mattie and Effie. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 80 on February 11th, 1937 in Austin,Travis Co.,TX. He was buried on February 16th, 1937 in Brown Ranch Cemetery,Coleman County,TX.1 -
