Bathenia Gay 
Bathenia was born in 1760 in Virginia.1 She was an only child. She died at the age of 96 on August 13th, 1856 in Cherokee Co.,TX. She was buried in Larissa Cemetery,Cherokee County,Texas.2 1
‌Bathenia and Jordan were married in a religious ceremony on May 11th, 1790 in Franklin County,North Carolina.2 They had three sons and five daughters, named Elijah, John, Willis Jordan, Nancy, Annah, Cinthia, Rebecca and Sally.
