Willis Jordan was born on April 20th, 1812 in Wilson Co.,TN.1   Willis Jordan's father was Jordan Bass and his mother was Bathenia Gay.  His paternal grandparents were Jacob Bass Sr. and Prudence Ann (Alt:  Ann Fuller) Jones. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Elijah, John, Nancy, Annah, Cinthia, Rebecca and Sally.  He died at the age of 72 on July 11th, 1884 in Cherokee Co.,TX.  He was buried in Old Baptist Cemetery,Larissa,Cheroke Co.,TX.1
