Alexander Willis Riddle 
Alexander Willis was born in November 1854 in Cheroke Co.,TX. Alexander Willis' father was Benjamin Preston Riddle and his mother was Mary Ann Bass. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Riddle and Mary Bynum; his maternal grandparents were Willis Jordan Bass and Elizabeth Lillian (Betsy) Hardin. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named John Byrum, Nicholas Buchanan, Benjamin T., William H., Jordon G., Robert E. Lee, Charles H., Mary Emma, Mattie and Effie. He is the second oldest of the eleven children.-
