Lady Isabella Taillefer was born about 1180 in Angoulême, Charente, France.  Lady Isabella Taillefer's father was Aymer Taillefer and her mother was Alice de Courtenay.  Her paternal grandparents were IV William and Marguerite de Turenne; her maternal grandparents were I Pierre and Elizabeth de Courtenay.  She was an only child.  She died on May 31st, 1246 in Fontevrault Abbey, Fontevrault Maine-Et-Loire, France.
