Adelaide was born about 1092 in Maurienne, Savoie, France.  Adelaide's father was Humbert II 'the Fat' and her mother was Gisela de Bourgogne.  Her paternal grandparents were II Amadeus and Jeanne of Geneva; her maternal grandparents were Guillaume I "The Grand" and Etiennette Stephanie De Longwy. She had a brother and two sisters, named Amadeus III, Alice and Agnes. She had a half-brother named Guillaume.  She died on November 18th, 1154 in Abbaye De Montmartre, Savoie.


Adelaide's family with Louis VI "the Fat" Capet

‌Adelaide and Louis VI "the Fat" were married in a religious ceremony in 1115.  They had seven sons and a daughter, named Philippe Prince of, Louis VII 'the Younger', Archbishop of Rheims, Prince of France, Robert I, Arch Dean of Paris, I and Constance.
