Constance was born about 1014 in Reims, Champagne, France.  Constance's father was Louis VI "the Fat" Capet and her mother was Adelaide De Maurienne.  Her paternal grandparents were Philippe I 'the Fair' Capet and Bertha of Holland; her maternal grandparents were Humbert II 'the Fat' and Gisela de Bourgogne. She had seven brothers named Philippe Prince of, Louis VII 'the Younger', Archbishop of Rheims, Prince of France, Robert I, Arch Dean of Paris and I.  She was the oldest of the eight children.  She died in 1176 in Rheims, Marne, France.
