Louis VII of France, known as The Young, was born in Reims, Champagne, France.  The Young's father was King Louis VI of France (The Fat) and his mother was Cts. Adelaideof Savoy.  His paternal grandparents were King Philippe I of France (The fair) and Bertha of Holland; his maternal grandparents were Ct. Humbert II of Savoy (Il grosso (the fat)) and Cts. Gisele of Bourgogne. He had two brothers named Robert I of Dreux and Pierre I of France.  He died on September 18th, 1180 in Paris, France.  He was buried on September 19th, 1180 in Barbeau, I-F, Frqnce.
