Robert II of France, known as The pious, was born on March 27th, 0972 in Orleans, France.  The pious' father was King Hugues of France and his mother was Adelaideof Poitou.  His paternal grandparents were Duke Hugues of France (The Great) and Hedwig of Sachsen; his maternal grandparents were Duke Guillaume III of Aquitaine and Gerlotte or Adele of Normandy. He had two sisters named Hedwig of France and Adele of France.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 59 on July 20th, 1031 in Meulan, France.  He was buried in St. denis, France.


The pious' family with Constance of Toulouse

‌The pious and Constance of Toulouse were married in a religious ceremony in 0998.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Robert I of Bourgogne, Henri I of France, Adele of France and Constance of France.
