Louis VI of France, known as The Fat, was born in 1077 in Autumn, , France.  The Fat's father was King Philippe I of France (The fair) and his mother was Bertha of Holland.  His paternal grandparents were King Henri I of France and Anna (Agnesa) of Kiev; his maternal grandparents were Graf Florent (Floris) I of Holland and Gertrudeof Sachsen.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 60 on August 1st, 1137 in Chateau Bethizy, Paris, France.  He was buried in St. denis,,France.


The Fat's family with Cts. Adelaideof Savoy

‌The Fat and Adelaideof Savoy were married in a religious ceremony in 1115 in Paris, France.  They had three sons named Robert I of Dreux, Pierre I of France and The Young.
