Duke Bernhard I of Sachsen

Bernhard I of Sachsen was born about 0950 in , , Sachsen.  Bernhard I of Sachsen's father was Duke Hermann Billung of Sachsen and his mother was Hildegardis of Westerburg.  His paternal grandparents were Graf Billung in Sachsen and Ferderunda. He had three sisters named Mathilda of Sachsen, Mathilda (Maud) of Sachsen and Suanhildeof Sachsen.  He was the second oldest of the four children.

‌Bernhard I of Sachsen and Hildegardeof Stade were married in a religious ceremony about 0990.  They had a son named Bernhard II of Sachsen.
