Klaas Aartsen was born in December 1726 and his baptism took place on December 22nd, 1726 in Harderwijk.1  Klaas Aartsen's father was Aart Klaaszn Foppen and his mother was Geertjen Petersdr  N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Claes Aartszn Foppen and Jannetje Petersdr N.N.. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Klaas Aartsen, Claas Aartsen, Gerart Aartsen, Jannetje Aartse and Aaltje Claasdr.  He was the second oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Claas Aartszn, Peter Aartszn, Goossen Aartszn, Goossen Aartszn, Aertjen Aartsdr and Geertruijd Aartze.  He died before December 12th, 1727.1
