Goossen Aartszn was born in March 1747 and his baptism took place on March 19th, 1747 in Harderwijk.1  Goossen Aartszn's father was Aart Klaaszn Foppen and his mother was Albertje Aartsdr N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Claes Aartszn Foppen and Jannetje Petersdr N.N.. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Claas Aartszn, Peter Aartszn, Goossen Aartszn, Aertjen Aartsdr and Geertruijd Aartze.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Klaas Aartsen, Klaas Aartsen, Claas Aartsen, Gerart Aartsen, Jannetje Aartse and Aaltje Claasdr.  He died at the age of 58 in September 1805 in Harderwijk.  The funeral took place on September 16th, 1805 in Harderwijk.1 1
