Jannetje Aartse was born in June 1721 and her baptism took place on June 25th, 1721 in Harderwijk.1  Jannetje Aartse's father was Aart Klaaszn Foppen and her mother was Geertjen Petersdr  N.N..  Her paternal grandparents were Claes Aartszn Foppen and Jannetje Petersdr N.N.. She had four brothers and a sister, named Klaas Aartsen, Klaas Aartsen, Claas Aartsen, Gerart Aartsen and Aaltje Claasdr.  She is the oldest of the six children. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Claas Aartszn, Peter Aartszn, Goossen Aartszn, Goossen Aartszn, Aertjen Aartsdr and Geertruijd Aartze.
