Reuben Groves

Reuben was born in 1831 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight and his christening took place there on February 5th, 1837.¹² Reuben's father was William Groves and his mother was Jane Barnett. His paternal grandparents were James Groves and Mary Chiverton. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James, Henry, George, Charles, Jane, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 35 in March 1866 in Poole, Dorset.³
