James Groves

James was born in 1824 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight and his christening took place there on April 11th, 1824.¹² James' father was William Groves and his mother was Jane Barnett. His paternal grandparents were James Groves and Mary Chiverton. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry, Reuben, George, Charles, Jane, Jane and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 33 in March 1857 in Isle of Wight.³
