James Groves

James was born in 1748 in Whippingham, isle of Wight and his christening took place there on May 31st, 1748.¹² James' father was James Groves and his mother was Mary Raynor. His paternal grandparents were John Groves and Ann Newnham. He had three brothers named William, Robert and John. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Lydia and Mary. He died at the age of 80 in 1828 in Whippingham, isle of Wight. He was buried on December 18th, 1828 in Whippingham, isle of Wight.³⁴
