John Groves

John was born in 1698 in Newchurch, Isle of Wight.¹ John's father was Stephen Groves and his mother was Rebecca. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Groves and Grace Symans. He had a brother and five sisters, named Ann, Jane, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Ann and Mary. He was the youngest of the seven children. He died at the age of 97 in 1795 in Arreton, Isle of Wight.²
