Jane Ann Groves

Jane was born in 1830 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight and her christening took place on May 2nd, 1830 in Independent, East Cowes, Isle of Wight.¹² Jane's father was William Groves and her mother was Jane Barnett. Her paternal grandparents were James Groves and Mary Chiverton. She had five brothers and two sisters, named James, Henry, Reuben, George, Charles, Jane and Elizabeth. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 72 in September 1902 in Whippingham, Isle of Wight.³
