Ada Mary Groves

Ada was born in September 1870 in Newport, Isle of Wight and her christening took place on October 12th, 1870 in United Methodist, Newport Circuit, Isle of Wight.¹² Ada's father was George Burnett Groves and her mother was Charlotte Saunders. Her paternal grandparents were William Groves and Jane Barnett. She had six brothers and two sisters, named George, James, William, Alfred, Walter, Ernest, Elizabeth and Elsie. She was the second oldest of the nine children.
