Daniel Cannings

Daniel was born on March 8th, 1814 in Laverstock, Wiltshire and his christening took place on April 4th, 1814 in St Martin, Salisbury, Wiltshire.¹ Daniel's father was Thomas Cannings and his mother was Sarah Brown. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Cannings and Ann Austence; his maternal grandparents were John Brown and Sarah Tubb. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William, William, Thomas, Solomon, James, Mary, Harriet, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the second youngest of the ten children.
