Robert was born on March 25th, 1309 in Chartley, Staffordshire, England. Robert's father was John de Ferrers and his mother was Hawyse de Muscegros. His paternal grandparents were Robert de Ferrers and Alianore de Bohun; his maternal grandparents were Robert II de Muscegros and Agnes de Ferrers. He had a brother and two sisters, named John, Alianore and Perronelle. He was the second youngest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Catherine. He died at the age of 41 on August 28th, 1350.-
