Isabel Fitz Richard Strongbow was born about 1172.  Isabel Fitz Richard Strongbow's father was Richard Strongbow FitzGilbert de Clare and her mother was Aoife (Eva) MacMurrough of Leinster.  Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert Strongbow FitzGilbert de Clare and Isabel (Elizabeth) de Beaumont; her maternal grandparents were Diarmait MacDonnchada MacMurchada and Mor Ingen Muirchertaig O'Toole. She had two brothers and a sister, named Gilbert, Robert FitzRichard and Alina.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died in 1220.  She was buried in Tintern Abbey in Monmouthshire.

‌Isabel Fitz Richard Strongbow and William the Protector were married in a religious ceremony in August 1189 in Tower of London, London, England.  They had five sons and five daughters, named William the Younger, Richard, Gilbert, Walter, Anselm, Isabella, Joane (Johanna), Maud, Eve and Sibyl.
