Isabel (Elizabeth)'s father was Robert I de Meulan de Beaumont and her mother was Isabella Capet de Crepi of Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were Roger de Beaumont and Adeline de Meulan; her maternal grandparents were Hugh I Magnus the Great de Crepi of France and Adelar de Vermandois. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Hugh the Poor, Waleran, Robert II Bossu, Adeline de Beaumont of, Aubreye, Agnes, Amicade, Maude and Eleanor. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Rainald, Ralph, William III, Gundrada, Ella and Adelaide (Ada).
