William III was born in Ferrers, Derbyshire, England.  William III's father was William II de Ferrers and his mother was Agnes de Keveliock of Chester.  His paternal grandparents were William (Robert) de Ferrers and Sybil de Braose; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Kevelioc de Meschines and Bertrade d'Evreux de Montfort. He had two brothers and a sister, named Hugh, Thomas and Sibyl.  He died in Evington, Leicestershire, England.  He was buried on March 31st, 1254 in Merevale Abbey.


William III's first family with Sibyl Marshal

‌William III and Sibyl were married in a religious ceremony before May 14th, 1219.  They had seven daughters named Alianore, Agnes, Isabel, Jean, Sybil, Agatha and Maud.


William III's second family with Margaret de Quincy

‌William III and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony in 1238.  They had two sons and four daughters, named Robert, William IV, Agnes, Margaret (Joane), Berta and Elizabeth.
