Isabel was born in 1226 in Derbyshire, England.  Isabel's father was William III de Ferrers and her mother was Sibyl Marshal.  Her paternal grandparents were William II de Ferrers and Agnes de Keveliock of Chester; her maternal grandparents were William the Protector Marshal and Isabel Fitz Richard Strongbow de Clare. She had six sisters named Alianore, Agnes, Jean, Sybil, Agatha and Maud. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Robert, William IV, Agnes, Margaret (Joane), Berta and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 34 on November 11th, 1260 in Austria-Hungary.1 


Isabel's first family with Reginald II de Mohun

‌Isabel and Reginald II were married in a religious ceremony before 1243.  They had a son and a daughter, named William and Isabel.


Isabel's second family with Gilbert Basset

They had a son named Son.
