Joan (Elizabeth) was born after 1396 in Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, England.  Joan (Elizabeth)'s father was William de Beauchamp and her mother was Joan Fitzalan of Arundel.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas de Beauchamp and Katherine de Mortimer; her maternal grandparents were Richard III Fitzalan of Arundel and Philippa de Mortimer. She had a brother named Richard Beauchamp of.  She was the older of the two children.  She died on August 4th, 1430 in Shene, England.  She was buried on August 8th, 1430 in Chapel of St. Thomas Acon, London.
