John Anderson Butcher 
John Anderson was born on January 22nd, 1783 in Lewis County, Virginia (now West Virginia). John Anderson's father was Balthasar Butcher and his mother was Elizabeth Bush. His paternal grandparents were George Valentin Metzger Butcher and Maria Elizabeth Keifer. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named George J., Gasper, Valentine J., Solomon, Henry, Jacob, William, Nicholas, Sarah, Girl, Elizabeth and Mary Ann. He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 85 on October 5th, 1868.-
