Sarah Butcher 
Sarah was born on November 18th, 1773 in Pendleton County, Virginia (now West Virginia). Sarah's father was Balthasar Butcher and her mother was Elizabeth Bush. Her paternal grandparents were George Valentin Metzger Butcher and Maria Elizabeth Keifer. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named George J., John Anderson, Gasper, Valentine J., Solomon, Henry, Jacob, William, Nicholas, Girl, Elizabeth and Mary Ann. She was the oldest of the thirteen children. She died at the age of 55 on February 17th, 1829 in Jackson or Harrison County, West Virginia.-
